Parininihi ki Waitotara

Parininihi ki Waitotara (PKW) is a Māori incorporation that manages farms, businesses and trusts across Taranaki. Their new premises had to communicate PKW cultural ideals and goals while meeting the practical and budget requirements of an expanding organisation.

The 40 year old central New Plymouth building was completely gutted and then redesigned by Elliott Architects NP Ltd.

Shaw Color Form carpet tiles in three shades of grey (Mask, Disappear, Mystic Grey) were laid in a random brick pattern throughout the offices, and two feature shades of blue/green (Tricky and Quirky) to suit the PKW logo were selected for waiting and circulation areas.

Shaw Color Frame tiles and Tarkett Eminent vinyl floors were laid on the stairs and in store and service areas, and Wyndham carpet was used on the lift platform.

Tredsafe stair nosings and skirtings, Tredsafe Connexx matting, and Shaw Steppin Out Welcome II entry tiles completed the project.
